Dr. Taormina is a Kansas City native and a graduate of East High School. He graduated from the University of Missouri—Kansas City School of Medicine in 1976 and went on to complete his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Hawaii in 1980. Dr. Taormina’s postgraduate training in Gastroenterology/Hepatology was completed at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., in 1982. He has been in private practice in the Kansas City area since 1985. Dr. Taormina is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the specialties of Gastrenterology and Geriatric Medicine, and he is a Fellow in the American College of Gastroenterology.
